Skateboarder makes history

On Friday 2 June, Dave Cornthwaite, a 26 year-old British man from Swansea, made history by rolling in to Land's End and becoming the first person to skateboard the length of Britain this marks the beginning of an epic journey for the skater, who only took up the sport last year.

In August, Cornthwaite will travel with a support team to Australia and attempt to break another world record by skating from Perth to Brisbane, a daunting distance of 4000 miles.
The record-breaking skate is part of a project dubbed 'BoardFree', founded by Cornthwaite with the aim of raising £50,000 for three children's charities, Link Community Development, The Lowe Trust, and Sailability Australia.
